Rating Summary
Gravely Silent: House of Deadlock is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood and Gore, and Violent References. This is a hidden-object adventure game in which players assume the role of a woman who must explore a castle to save her cursed sister. Players solve puzzles and search through scenes of jumbled objects to advance the storyline. Dark thematic elements are present throughout the game: a woman's body lying in a glass coffin; skeletons chained to walls; a doll hung by a noose in a tree; and references to violence (e.g., “When a victim will put [this ring] on she will be strangled after some time” and “My dear sister! I can't believe she's dead!”). Some environments depict bloody handprints or bloodstained notes/newspaper clippings; in one sequence, players are prompted to remove several pins from a bleeding human heart.
