Voodoo Chronicles: The First Sign

This is a puzzle game in which players assume the role of a detective who must solve the mystery behind an ancient curse. Players mostly solve puzzles and search through screens filled with jumbled objects to advance the storyline. A handful of cutscenes depict brief instances of violence (e.g., a woman getting kidnapped; a train falling off a cliff; soldiers firing muskets at off-screen characters). In one sequence, players click on attacking wolves to fight them off with a torch; in another, a dead soldier's body is shown lying on a beach (e.g., “Looks like he was scared witless before death.”). One cutscene depicts small bloodstains on the walls of an insane asylum. The words “bastard,” “damn,” and “hell” appear in the dialogue.
