Rating Summary
This is a real-time strategy game in which players build, defend, and attack medieval villages and castles. From a top-down view, players position troops around battlefields to engage in combat. Troops use swords, bows, spears, and siege weapons during battle; cries of pain and sword-slashing effects can often be heard. During the course of the game, players can use trebuchets to launch various animals (e.g., cows) into the air, resulting in bloodstains on the ground. Players can also build different structures, including torture devices to manipulate the population via “fear factor”—these brief sequences depict characters getting flogged, hanged, or burned at the stake. To keep the populace happy, players can offer ale rations to villagers, and construct an inn (adorned with a frothy mug) for the same purpose.
