Rating Summary
Michael Jackson: The Experience is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB with Mild Lyrics, Mild Suggestive Themes, and Mild Violence. This is a music and rhythm simulation game in which players can follow along with the music and dance moves of Michael Jackson. Players match on-screen rhythmic cues to score points and unlock dynamic visual effects. One of the unlockable effects in the game is called “Sexy Girl,” and it appears as the outlined silhouette of a dancing female figure. Some song lyrics contain references to violence (e.g., “He left bloodstains on the carpet . . . She was struck down, it was her doom” and “How does it feel/To know this stranger/Is out to kill”) and suggestive material (e.g., “Since you seduced her” and “Tahitian tanned/In her painted-on jeans”). In one brief video sequence, a character shoots bullets at Michael Jackson, who avoids getting hit by jumping through a window.
