Rating Summary
This is a turn-based strategy game in which players control teams of worms in battles to be the last man (worm) standing. From a third-person perspective, players take turns positioning their worms around themed combat landscapes and use a variety of over-the-top weapons (e.g., “cartoony” bazookas, grenades, shotguns, sheep) to defeat opponents' worms. For some weapons, players assume a first-person view and use targeting crosshairs to fire projectiles at scattered enemies. Each turn is highlighted by realistic gunfire, “cartoony” explosions, and colorful shockwave effects. During the course of the game, players can utilize airdrop munitions that include toilet paper rolls and brown animal droppings; one weapon resembles an elderly woman that emits green flatulence clouds before detonating. In one sequence, a character refers to a group of worms as a “bunch of drunken no-goods.” The words “damn” and “hell” appear in the dialogue.
