This is a sports-strategy game in which players compete in a fantastical version of football on a field with trolls, elves, dwarves, and goblins. Players take turns rolling dice to move around the football field and to score touchdowns. Players can also use unconventional tactics to gain an advantage, including bribing referees, punching-and-kicking opposing players, using an ogre to eat competitors, etc. Tiny sprays of red blood are frequently depicted when players get injured; some players lie in small pools of blood, which do disappear but are nonetheless striking. Dialogue between commentators sometimes discusses dwarves' fondness for beer, beer as a motivator, and folk wisdom—concerning dwarves and their beer (e.g., "Never refuse if a dwarf offers you a beer" and "Dwarfs are not fast runners except when they see a barrel of beer.").
