This is an action-racing game in which players assume the role of an ex-police officer who attempts to eliminate criminal kingpins in New York City. Players use cars to perform missions that include destroying criminal locations and smashing into other vehicles, causing them to explode. Some cutscenes depict other acts of violence: a character getting shot in the head; a man jumping in front of a subway train, causing blood to splatter on the platform; a character lying in a pool of blood after a car crash. During the course of the game, the dialogue occasionally references prostitution and pornography (e.g., "[M]assage parlors are a front for a prostitution ring," ". . . runs a stable of high-priced call girls," and "That's where he tapes people with hookers." ); a handful of scenes allude to sex or depict female characters in revealing outfits (e.g., a prostitute disrobing to her lingerie; moaning sounds, which are followed by a depiction of a man and a woman lying in bed). During the course of the game, the dialogue occasionally references drugs (e.g., "[H]igh-end narcotics" and "But they're shooting up with this stuff!"). The words "f**k," "sh*t," and "a*shole" can be heard in dialogue.
