Star Raiders

This is an action-shooter game in which players assume the role of a new cadet who joins a conflict against hostile aliens. From a third-person perspective, players pilot spaceships around planets to salvage materials, upgrade weapons, and eliminate alien vessels via laser beams and missiles. Missions range from hunting down specific numbers of alien ships to attacking larger cruisers in lengthy space battles. Combat is sometimes frenetic, highlighted by constant laser shooting, spark/fire animations, and ship explosions.
