The Count of Monte Cristo

This is a hidden-object adventure game (i.e., seek-and-find) in which players assume the role of Edmond Dantes, a wrongfully persecuted count who must escape prison and exact his revenge. Players search for specific items on screens filled with jumbled objects as they collect clues and investigate suspects. Various still-frame cutscenes contain brief acts of violence: in one sequence, a man is depicted with a gun in his hand and a bullet wound in his head; another scene depicts an assailant holding a bloody knife behind a character. A handful of other objects (e.g., axes, guillotines) are depicted with small bloodstains on them.
