Swarm

This is an action-platformer in which players guide small blob-like creatures (i.e., swarmites) through trap-filled environments. From a 3/4–top-down perspective, players traverse through levels, gather "DNA samples" for their hive, and earn points for triggering deadly traps (e.g., saw blades, spikes, explosive mines); the traps often dismember, impale, and incinerate the swarmite characters—splatters of blue liquid frequently stain the ground. On the title screen, brief animations depict some of the swarmite deaths (e.g., small creatures getting chopped in half with a buzz saw or electrocuted with lightning).
