Hard Corps: Uprising

This is a side-scrolling shooter in which players control a band of elite soldiers fighting against an evil world empire. Characters use oversized machine guns, flamethrowers, laser blasters, and special attack moves to destroy a variety of enemies (e.g., soldiers, robots, giant mechs). Realistic gunfire can be heard throughout gameplay; defeated enemies often cry out and disappear in large explosions. Cutscenes depict the most intense instances of violence: civilians shot by soldiers; an enemy pointing a gun at a child; dead civilians lying amidst rubble. During the course of the game, a character is frequently depicted with a lit cigar in his mouth. The words "bada*s," "bastard," "damn," and "hell" can be heard in the dialogue.
