This is a simulation game in which players guide a family to prominence during the Renaissance. Players can choose from a selection of professions (e.g., banker, craftsman, artisan) as they attempt to influence the surrounding populace in matters of town expansion, commerce, and politics. Sword or knife fights may arise with rival family members and hostile town guards; players can zoom in from a top-down perspective on such conflicts, which depict puffs of blood and cries of pain. As the game progresses, players can ask female characters to bathe with them behind a curtain or "spend the night together," which results in pregnancy. Characters can also attain the "Kama Sutra Master" skill, which increases the chance of attracting a mate and conceiving a child. Players can buy, sell, and drink alcohol throughout the game; beer and mead are included as inventory items. Characters sometimes use language such as "damn" and "bullsh*t."
