This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of Sam Fisher, a Special Forces operative searching for answers about his daughter's disappearance. Players use pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, grenades, and other weapons to kill enemies while engaging in various espionage missions. Players can also perform stealth combat moves, such as sneaking up behind enemies to break their necks. Enemies grunt or cry out in pain when shot, and often emit puffs of blood before collapsing to the ground. Characters use the words "f**k," "sh*t," and "a*shole" in the dialogue.
