This is a full-motion medical simulation game in which players assume the role of a medical student interning at a hospital's trauma center. Players perform various medical procedures and progress through a point-and-click adventure, which features realistic portrayals by actors. Some emergency cases depict patients with serious injuries: leg injuries with blood stains, blood-soaked bandages, victims of attacks and car accidents, open chest cavities (for surgery). One sequence involves a close-up view of wrist lacerations as a result of a girl's attempted suicide. During one patient's interview, the conversation between mother and daughter briefly references sex (e.g., "What if she's pregnant? If I find out you had sex with Anthony Skippela . . ." and "We haven't even hardly had sex.").
