This is a 2D strategy game in which players create mazes and build up an army of creatures to fend off an invading hero. Players chisel away stone blocks to create underground passageways for their skeleton, demon, and slime-like creatures to roam and attack. Some of the creatures emit brief splashes of colored blood when hit by the hero. In the almanac section of the game, players can view small icons of creatures, some of which depict female creatures bouncing up and down in place and wearing revealing outfits. Text descriptions in the almanac can include phrases such as "If you see him stripping to his underwear, it's best to head the other way"; "likes nothing more than fine vintage wines"; and "interest: cigars." The word "hell" appears in the dialogue.
