Commander Conquest of the Americas

This is a strategy game in which players can control fleets and colonize the New World during the 16th and 18th centuries. Players maneuver ships around harbors and attempt to conquer regions and complete various objectives. Combat is a mix of turn-based and real-time battles: ships and strongholds fire cannons at each other as soldiers yell and cry out in pain; soldiers on the ships' decks are depicted falling over when the ship takes damage; ships explode periodically, with debris sent flying. During the colony-building sections, players can set up crops of tobacco, build cigar factories, and set up distilleries to make rum. Taverns can also be built, providing "morale boosts" to the colonies.
