This is a seek-and-find adventure game in which players explore eerie locations, search for hidden objects, and board a cargo ship to escape the violence of the Spanish-American War. Players may encounter a mummy, which they can shoot but not harm, or use a lighter and dynamite to blow up the ship—the explosion is heard but not seen. The game receives a Teen rating for violent references and depictions of blood: The text mentions suicide and murder (e.g., "No wonder the captain killed himself . . ." and "Laura [a vampire] murdered him!"); human corpses are sometimes depicted with bloodstains on their clothes or pooling on the ground. One protracted sequence requires players to find a bottle of rum, create a hot-pepper rum mixture, and use it to revive an unconscious character. The game also contains the expletives "bastard," "damn," and "hell" (e.g., "Answer me, you bastard, before I lose control!").
