Rating Summary

This is an action-adventure game, based on the animated Dragonball Z TV show, in which players control Goku and his friends through various episodes. Players complete the main adventure by punching, kicking, and using magic against several human enemies. Most of the action is viewed from a top-down perspective, while a few boss battles involve more protracted one-on-one fighting—martial-arts-style combat, blocking, punching, and kicking. In one sequence, a character launches an enemy into the air and then impales him with a spear. Though blood does not appear during combat, it does appear during cutscenes: blood spurts out of a character's nose after seeing a woman; blood sprays out of a person's head after being bitten by a Dracula-type character. Dialogue includes phrases such as "Goku, there's a pervert!" "They were trying to do icky things to me!" and "I was thinking you'd want me to let you do something perverted to me." A handful of cutscenes depict characters engaged in suggestive antics: a female character drops her top in front of an older man—though the scene is shown from behind; a magazine with a nude woman on the cover drops to the floor, but the image is small and hard to discern. Characters use language such as "bastard," "damn," and "hell" in the dialogue.
