This is a platformer game in which players run around a "cartoony" version of the underworld ("Hell") as a small demon creature, essentially a "good" devil. The colorful stages are filled with lava-rivers, chasms, and rocks that must be traversed to reach the goal—heaven. Players can poke a trident into little creatures to use them as a spring; the creatures squirm a bit until the player lets go. In one end-of-level cutscene, there is a play-on-words about the game's setting (e.g., "Finally, I'll be able to get the hell outta here!").
