This is a strategy game that speeds players from birth to old age in 8 or 16 turns. Players maneuver through the years by building character traits, making certain life choices, and deciding how to interact with others. Life events are depicted in the form of a line of text that flashes on the screen along with a cartoon icon (e.g., burger and fries, skateboard, shark, laptop computer, bicycle, dice). The text and icons together describe life events, some of which reference violent acts; for example, "Bookie breaks your thumbs," "You witness a murder," "Lose a finger at the factory," and "Grow up to be a serial killer." Some life events are accompanied by martini glasses or bottles (e.g., "Dad drinks too much" and "Embarrass yourself at company party"); other descriptions refer more directly to alcohol (e.g., "Knock over a wine rack" and "Missed wedding due to hangover"). The following suggestive descriptions contribute to the Teen rating: "Mom discovers you're a stripper," "Partner hooks up with yard guy," "Called out the wrong name in bed," "Lover emails sexy photo" and "Spice up your love life" (with an icon of handcuffs).
