This is a card-based adventure game in which players collect and trade cards, follow a fantasy storyline about elemental masters, and battle against an assortment of creatures along the way. Players engage in turn-based battles by placing cards on a 3x3 board, then watch as fantastical creatures/characters gain or lose points in battle. The depiction of battle is minimal; the story elements and the text that accompanies battle sequences have the most impact—"I will kill you if I must," "A ghoul eats the corpses and welcomes fresh living meat," "A Toxic Fiend consumes a dead body hanging from a branch," and "Are you the one killing my soldiers?" A location called "River of Blood" depicts a still-image of a river saturated with a red fluid (presumably blood). Some card images are drawn so that female creatures appear to be topless; however, the images are not realistic—they resemble something closer to statues or surreal drawings of demons (hair obscuring the nipples).
