Rating Summary
Dawn of Heroes is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB with Mild Fantasy Violence and Mild Language.

This is a role-playing game in which players battle stubby, cartoon-like humans and beasts (dragons, velociraptors, other clawed creatures) in turn-based combat. Characters can perform sword-slashing attacks, use claw-blades and bare hands, and cast a wide spectrum of magic spells (e.g., fire, ice, poison, traps) to defeat the small enemies. The attack animations are pre-rendered and minimally depicted; for example, "dizzy stars" often appear over opponents' heads, and enemies blink, then disappear when defeated. While the combat and character design can be light and humorous, some of the names for attacks/abilities are darker in tone: "Execution," "Combat Lust," "Hell Aura," "Agony." The dialogue, which contains the expletive "damn," also straddles the line between irreverence and intensity: "Prepare to receive a beating! Actually . . . prepare to receive several!" and "An angry goat almost gored me to death!"
