Chronos Twins DX is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB with Animated Blood and Mild Fantasy Violence.

This is a side-scrolling action adventure game in which players assume the role of an alien hero that battles to save the world and avenge the death of a brother. Players travel through time, traverse fantastical platform environments, and destroy enemy creatures by using a laser weapon. While the laser fire is blue and bigger than the gun, it can cause enemies to explode and sometimes emit a green fluid-like substance. Still-frame panels (i.e., cutscenes) contain an image of a giant creature destroying inhabitants of a planet, depictions of characters perishing, and a reference to the destruction of an entire civilization (e.g., "Inhabitants of Skyla tried to defend themselves . . . But all efforts were in vain.").
