This is a puzzle/adventure game, based on the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, in which players solve murder cases by combing crime scenes and suspects' residences for evidence. Players solve mini-game puzzles in order to process and analyze evidence and present their findings and processed results to suspects in interrogation sequences. Victims' deaths are depicted through brief vignettes and are examined in detail. Death sequences include a man being shot several times and another man who falls onto the sword of and is impaled by a large sculpture. Evidence sometimes includes the examination of blood stains or pools of blood near bodies. One piece of evidence, a stain on a bed sheet, strongly suggests that two characters had a sexual relationship (e.g., "DNA from Jessie's studio confirms she and Elliot Fine were lovers."). In one of the mini-games, players are tasked to identify several substances, one of which is cocaine. Some expletives (e.g., "a*s" and "damn") can be heard in the dialogue.
