XIII Century: Gold Edition

This is a real-time strategy game (RTS) in which players command large armies through massive battles in 13th century Europe. Presented from an overhead perspective, the game allows players to deploy soldiers on a vast field of battle. Armies use swords, lances, and arrows to attack enemy soldiers that react to damage by emitting small puffs of blood. Larger pools of red blood remain under dead soldiers that litter the battlefield. In some instances, soldiers can be decapitated during battle, though there are no close-up depictions. Menu screens often depict close-up images of bloody soldiers impaled by large pikes or sticks.
