In this sports simulation game, players can select teams from real NHL rosters, create and manage franchises, participate in skill exercises (e.g., shooting and skating drills; goalie practice), and play realistically depicted games of hockey. A "Shoot Out" mode allows players to select a team and go head-to-head in a best-of-three shoot out. During the course of a match, players have the ability to initiate fights with other players. A brief animation of players punching and grabbing is depicted from a first-person perspective.
