Rating Summary
Players control "ninja turtles" that kick, slam, and throw their opponents down in this remake of the original 1991 "beat-em-up" arcade game. Most of the levels resemble a comic book with stylized explosions (e.g., a flash and the word Btoom!) and attack effects (e.g., a turtle hit with laser fire gets electrocuted, which is depicted by a comically exposed skeleton). The "mutant" turtles also use samurai weapons and special "pow pizza" that can unleash frenetic spinning attacks. While most of the battle scenes are overtly "cartoony," other aspects of the game can be more intense: the constant fighting, the realistic punching sounds, and the variety of enemies' weapons (swords, axes, arrows, whips, bombs, etc.).
