Swords & Soldiers

This is a side-scrolling strategy game in which players guide an army to destroy an opponent's base. Players' units automatically walk toward the enemy base and battle small, "cartoony" units (e.g., aztecs, skeletons, Vikings, monkey ninjas, etc.) along the way. Many depictions of combat are whimsical (e.g., small stubby characters; the words swoosh, chop, klang appear with yellow stars to indicate damage), however, the sound effects serve to accentuate the violence: constant axes clashing; arrows/darts flying through the air; and enemies crying out in pain. During the course of the game, female Vikings are depicted with exaggerated-sized breasts.
