Adventure Island: The Beginning

This is a side-scrolling platformer game in which players can run and jump through colorful environments, collect eggs and fruit, and attack enemy creatures (e.g., snails, spiders, and frogs) along the way. Players can throw tiny axes, boomerangs, or spears at the "cartoony" enemies in the main game and avoid obstacles and target the small creatures during the mini-games (e.g., "Skateboard Survival" and "Axe Attack"). Enemies usually blink and disappear in puffs of smoke when hit. During one sequence, birds fly across the screen and drop their tiny gray splotches on the play area.
