This is an adventure/puzzle game in which players assume the role of a "searcher" hired to stop a terrorist from blowing up an airplane. Set on a mysterious island, players use deductive reasoning to figure out clues, solve challenging puzzles, interact with a variety of characters, and advance the main storyline. Although players do not engage in interactive combat, cutscenes sometimes contain explosions, shootings, and brief fist fights. One scene also depicts a man falling from a building and later lying on the ground with a small pool of blood around his head. During the course of the game, players will encounter characters that engage in sexual innuendo (e.g., "Does Lois still do that thing with her tongue?" and "come on inside me"). Some expletives (e.g., "dumba*s") appear in the dialogue, and alcohol and tobacco are occasionally referenced in conversation (e.g., "That's why a drunk would ask for silver bullets" and "Oh, what's a cigarette or two?"). Players can also interact with a guidebook intended to provide clues to puzzles in the game. Some of the text includes recipes for and comments on alcoholic drinks (e.g., "Earthquake…This tectonic tumbler will shake you to the core with every alcohol-infused sip!").
