Altered Beast

This is a side-scrolling action game in which players assume the role of a resurrected centurion that is sent to rescue a kidnapped Goddess. Players traverse through many platform levels and fight hordes of zombies, giant insects, winged gargoyles, and two-headed wolves along the way. Players mostly punch and kick enemies to move forward, while special power-up orbs allow players to use special attacks (e.g., fireballs, lighting strikes, turning creatures to stone) that inflict greater damage. More extended boss battles occur at the end of each level.
