FIFA Manager 09 is a simulation game in which players select from real soccer teams from across national and international leagues, run the team's daily affairs, and confront various issues that a soccer manager would handle. Tasks can include negotiating for/with sponsors, tracking fans and merchandising, and selecting punishments for problem athletes. Players can customize aspects of their character's personal life, including investments and family life. In the family area at game start, the user has the option of selecting a same-sex partnership.
