Suikoden Tierkreis is a role-playing game (RPG) in which players control a group of adventurers as they battle the forces of the evil 'One King.' Combat is turn-based as players use a menu to choose actions such as 'attack,' 'defend,' and 'flee.' Numeric values and light effects indicate attack/damage inflicted on monsters and players. In addition, cutscenes depict a thunderbolt causing death and injury, a sword duel, and a body dissolving into mist. Female characters sometimes wear revealing outfits that expose exaggerated proportions and cleavage, while one piece of armor is described as "a sexy outfit that enhances a woman's charms." One character is described as a "heavy drinker," and another is questioned on his state of intoxication. Expletives such as "bastard" and "damn" are heard throughout the dialogue.
