Rating Summary
Civil War: Secret Missions is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Mild Language and Violence.

Civil War: Secret Missions is a first-person shooter set during the Civil War. Players assume the role of Confederate and Union soldiers who engage in secret missions (scouting, infiltration, search-and-destroy) and historic battles. Combat can be frenetic, highlighted by camera effects – screen shakes and distorted field-of-vision – and frequent depictions of flying bodies. Realistic sound effects and explosions also occur as players employ gunfire and hand-to-hand combat against enemy soldiers. Mild profanity (e.g., "damn"/"damn it") can be heard during gameplay.
