SingStar Legends is a karaoke music game, in which players sing along with music videos featuring legends of the music industry such as Elvis Presley, Marvin Gaye, The Police, Madonna, and Biz Markie. Players score points by matching the pitch and duration of notes displayed on the screen. Some song lyrics contain mild profanity (e.g., "damn" and "hell") as well as references to sexuality (e.g., "You don't have to sell your body to the night") and substance use (e.g., "Drink liquor from an old fruit jar"). Some music videos contain instances of male dancers performing provocative choreography in swim briefs. In addition, a skeleton with a lit cigarette is seen in a music video.
