Rating Summary
Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 is a first-person hunting simulator where players track and shoot animals such as bears, lions, and tigers from around the world. Hunters are rewarded for each quarry they kill, and penalties are given for shooting restricted animals (e.g., tranquilizer guns are used instead). Hunters are also scored based on the lethality and placement of shots. Moderate blood spray is shown as bullets hit their target. Animals often attack humans during gameplay, and the player must use a knife or gun at close-range to avoid getting killed. Slow motion camera effects highlight these skirmishes, adding to the intensity and realism of the game.
