American McGee's Grimm: A Boy Learns What Fear Is is an action game in which players assume the role of Grimm, a dwarf who retells classic fairy tales, making them darker and more violent. Players can introduce filth, death and pestilence into 'cartoony,' fairytale settings, while causing a chain of events that inflicts destruction and mayhem: Adult characters are seen hanging from gallows; cannons are fired on villagers; animals get crushed by giant hammers; and multiple characters catch on fire. 'Cartoony' red blood is depicted in buckets, shooting from flowers, and spraying from crushed chickens. In addition, players can urinate, hear flatulence sound effects, and read text about people 'wetting their pants' or 'emptying their bowels.'
