This is an action role-playing game in which players assume the role of Adol Christin, an adventurer on a quest to regain his lost memories. From a 3/4-overhead perspective, players traverse various landscapes and use swords, gauntlets and spears to battle fantastical creatures (e.g., giant insects, dragon-like beasts) in melee-style combat. Battles are accompanied by sword slashes, battle cries, and small blood-splatter effects. One sequence depicts a creature with small blood stains on a wound. Some female characters in the game wear revealing outfits that depict moderate amounts of cleavage; dialogue also references suggestive material (e.g., “He's such a hopeless pervert” and “Hey, looking for a good time? I'll only cost you a thousand gold, and just for today.").The word “a*s” appears in the dialogue.
