Rating Summary
This is collection of two role-playing games in which players lead warriors on a quest to stop evil forces. From a 3/4-overhead perspective, players explore environments, interact with characters, and engage in hand-to-hand combat against fantasy creatures (e.g., zombies, ice giants, druids). Players use swords, arrows, and magic spells to defeat enemies. Damage is indicated by impact sounds and mild explosions; landing a critical hit can cause some characters to explode into chunks (i.e., gibs). Players may also kill civilians, though these actions are not encouraged. A handful of areas depict bloodstains on the ground; one morgue area depicts corpses with open chest cavities and exposed entrails (from a distant perspective). The game contains suggestive dialogue, as players' character interacts with others in a brothel (e.g., “'I'm a practitioner of abuse'"; ”'Why don't you lick my backside?'"; “'…[D]id you hear the word brothel and think you could make some jink here, you…wh*re?'”). A few corpses and enemy creatures (e.g., Medusa) appear topless, though details are somewhat obscured by the overhead perspective. During the course of the game, players' character can purchase alcohol at a bar (e.g., beer, mead, whiskey), with an extended dialogue option (e.g., "...[T]he feel of the liquor burning its way to your gut is nearly painful"; "'Still standing? Most folks can't even make it halfway through the first shot.'"). The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
