Rating Summary
This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of a living book (the Tractatus de Monstrum) that helps a witch explore a mysterious labyrinth. From a first-person perspective, players explore the maze while using a brigade of puppet soldiers to collect treasure and battle enemies. Combat is turn-based, with players selecting attack moves and magic spells from a menu; damage is indicated by on-screen hit points and by shaking images of enemies. A handful of enemies are depicted partially nude with their nipples and genitals covered by bubbles or tattoos/body paint. Cutscenes contain some sexually suggestive material: a woman described as touching another woman off-screen (e.g., “Dronya is suddenly caught off guard by Marietta's hand sliding up her dress"; “Mmmmm…take me!” “Hmhm…Your firm breasts call out to me from under your clothes…”); some characters can be heard making suggestive/sexual moaning sounds. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.
