Rating Summary
This is an action-adventure game, based on the Spongebob Squarepants franchise, in which players attempt to stop Plankton from stealing a secret recipe. As players traverse underwater environments, they use punches, spin/swat attacks, and “cartoony” projectiles (e.g., pickle blasters, condiment shooters, pie cannons) to destroy robotic enemies and turrets. The somewhat frenetic combat is accompanied by frequent explosions and comical yelps. Enemies disappear amid colorful bursts of light and collectible sprockets when defeated.
