Rating Summary
Heavy Fire: Afghanistan is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Blood, Mild Language, and Violence. This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a U.S. Marine soldier during fictitious events in modern-day Afghanistan. Players use pistols, machine guns, grenades, and armored vehicles to kill enemy soldiers and advance their military rank; bonus points are awarded both for accuracy and higher body counts. Battles are accompanied by realistic gunfire, radio chatter, cries of pain, and large explosions; soldiers emit brief puffs of blood when shot, and disappear when killed. The words “damn” and “hell” can be heard in the dialogue.
