This is an action game in which players assume the role of a ghost that must rescue his kidnapped girlfriend. Players run and jump through side-scrolling levels and fire small weapons (e.g., bombs, rockets, guns) at robots and gangsters; enemies disappear in brief clouds of smoke. In the opening sequence, a gangster is depicted firing a gun at an off-screen target (e.g., "Bang!"/"They got me.").
