This is an action racing game in which players can select a character from the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise to engage in destructive 'boatmobile' driving tests. Most tests involve ramming into other opponents' vehicles to earn coins or boat parts: vehicles often break apart, littering tracks and arenas with boat debris. Voice-over commentary includes reactions to getting hit (e.g., 'Ouch, that smarts!' and 'Don't you know that violence is the last bastion of moral cowardness?!') and references to bathroom humor (e.g., a flatulence sound followed by an 'Excuse me'; the comment 'So much for clean underwear').
